The Journal of Criminal Law and Criminal Policy (Droit Pénal et Politique criminelle/Derecho Penal Y Política Criminal - DPPC) invites readers to delve into the intricate world of penal dogmatics and the criminal justice systems of Switzerland, Europe, and South America. What makes it unique? Its determination to directly confront the issues that define our era, especially violence, extremism, and terrorism.
The DPPC journal succeeded the Anuario de Derecho Penal, published from 1988 to 2016 in collaboration with the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru in Lima and the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. It continues the mission of promoting criminal law and criminal policies that respect fundamental rights.
With a modest yet firm intention to broaden its academic scope, this digital journal honors the cultural and intellectual legacy of its predecessors. Published in French and Spanish, and open to contributions in English, it showcases its commitment to academic diversity and richness. Thanks to its collaborations, particularly with UniDistance Suisse (Switzerland), it offers free access to its readers and ensures a wide distribution of its research and analyses.
